A special dress for Dot
When my friend Hannah, who married her lovely partner this month, asked me to make their little girl Dot a dress for the occasion I was thrilled. Luckily for me, Hannah was a very relaxed bride and the only brief she gave me for the dress was simple and dusty pink. I used Sewpony’s Juliette Dress pattern again – as I did for Isbel’s party dress. This time, I bought some beautiful organic cotton chambray from The Drapery, a South Australian fabric store who also sell online. The embroidery on the peter pan collar is my own design.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was at Donnally River, an old mining town three hours south of Fremantle, so we all went for the whole weekend. Dot looked very cute on the day although unfortunately I don’t currently have any photos of her in her dress. Hopefully I will be able to add some at a later stage. I also made myself a dress for the wedding which I will talk about in my next post!
